Dit weekend ben ik gestart met het coaten van het chassis. Het chassis was al in de epoxy gezet, maar dat hebben ze natuurlijk nooit zo netjes gedaan zoals ik het zou doen :-)

Dit weekend bij Martijn van AirCooled het chassis opgehaald. Het chassis is gelabeld, ingekort, gestraald en in de epoxy gezet.

Dit weekend chassis en de onderdelen voor vooras en remmen ophalen. Bus gereserveerd, ruimte in de garage gemaakt. Mail van Martijn van AirCooled, vertraging bij het stralen, chassis is nog niet klaar. Bummer. Omdat ik toch voor de verjaardag van mijn neefje naar Enschede moet, even een kleine omleiding via Deventer om de bestelde onderdelen op te halen.

Wat is nu eigenlijk het verschil tussen een chassis met pendelassen en een chassis met Independent Rear Supspension (IRS) ? Ik ben ook geen expert, maar met een beetje hier en daar informeren, doorspitten van fora en het zoeken op internet zal ik het proberen om het in deze blog uit te leggen.

Ik heb een chassis! Martijn van AirCooled.nl vertelde mij dat hij een chassis heeft gevonden. Dit had nog al wat voeten in aarde, maar ik ben blij dat het gelukt is. Naast het chassis zal ik ook de polyester body bij Martijn aanschaffen, deze komt wanneer ik het chassis helemaal heb opgebouwd.

I am hosting marcelvenema.com at my own home. I am using a virtual machine on my research and development infrastructure.

This ‘infrastructure’ is a big word for 2 servers running an Intel i5 processor with 32GB RAM each, a server with a i7 processor and 32GB RAM and a small HTPC. All are connected to two Synology NAS systems. The home-build servers are all running a different hypervisor, Citrix XenServer, VMWare ESXi and Microsoft Hyper-V. Just because it is research and development, the change that something will break is more than average.

Today I received my new gadget: An all-retro gaming console for the Apple Ipad Mini.
